Meet the writers contributing to Leveraged Minds
I'm Hlumelo Lujiva, a third-year student at Wits University. My academic journey has been marked by consistent success, earning me places on Deansβ lists and ranking within the top 2% of my class in four challenging modules. I take pride in being an active member of the Golden Key International Honours society, a testament to my dedication to academic excellence. Leadership is integral to my university experience. As Chairperson of ABSIP Wits, I'm dedicated to driving inclusivity and empowerment in the financial services industry. I've also held roles like Vice Chairperson and Women in Focus Director, advocating for women's advancement. I've had the privilege of interning in the Investment Banking Division at Bank of America, gaining invaluable insights into the practical aspects of the financial industry. Beyond academics, I run a non-profit, The Bloom Org, focused on UN SDG 8, emphasizing economic growth and investing in black women. Exploring various facets of the business world, I have participated in consulting programs led by prestigious firms like McKinsey & Co and Boston Consulting Group (BCG). These experiences broadened my horizons and honed my problem-solving skills. In a nutshell, my journey is characterized by academic excellence, leadership, and a fervent commitment to creating positive change.
